greece has been good to us

hello all. i've noticed that not many people are commenting any more on my blogs.... hope they aren't getting to boring.... i'll try to keep them shorter (if possible) :) and knowing my luck the random stories will continue....

just to give a quick update of the last couple of days, we've spent a lot of time with these few guys that we met when we got here. to give a bit of background.... sarah is friends with a guy in chicago named ilijas who is from greece (albania originally) and he has a few brothers and cousins who live in greece. so we met up with them and they have been showing us around and basically entertaining us the last few days. which has been really nice b/c this is the first place we've been where i feel like i'm getting a true taste of what its really like, like being a 'local'. they took us to a beach where we played beach volleyball for like 5 hours and the sand was sooooo stinkin hot that i literally got blisters on the bottoms of my feet :( but its totally worth it b/c one of ilijas's brothers, named augustino, is by far the most attractive person that i've ever met!!! no worries, we took pics :) and since sarah from the start has been paired off with ilijas's younger brother billy, i got to team up with augustino and we were a pretty dang good pair. especially since all i can basically do is bump the ball. but he would always say 'bravo' and what girl wouldn't smile???? ;) hahah!! anywho.... after vball he made us all dinner and it was wonderful! then yesterday we went to a different beach called Punda Beach and played more vball and swam in the pool there, which was a blast!!! i much prefer pools to the ocean b/c the salt water is just to intensely salty for me sometimes.

alrighty, i'm running out of internet time but real quick - last night we went out dancing again. and this time i decided to just let loose, dance, and have a good time. and i totally did! we didn't get home till 5am and we even seemed to outlast the brothers/cousins that we went with. and i danced with this random greek guy.....

welp, we're gonna go get a crepe for dessert (can you tell i have an addiction) and then catch our bus back to the camp site. we have one more day here and then we are taking a late, late night ferry back to athens and then catching a flight to berlin, germany. we decided to squeeze in one more country before sarah goes home in a week. its crazy that her 6 weeks here has almost come to an end. what am i gonna do all by my little lonesome??? :)

Cut LOOSE, deary. Dancin' does one's soul good. I'm proud and very happy for ya.

You'll find Berlin to be a TOTALLY DIFFERENT world than your laid back time in Greece. It's all good.

Lonesome and lonely are not the same thing. No doubt in my mind that you will enjoy going solo! You may be lonesome for all us wackadoos, but you'll never be lonely. No telling what adventure awaits you and other as yet unknown Augostinos. Till then, have a great time with Sarah in Berlin and keep the stories coming.
XO
PS- we got home today...posted some pics for you.

I can't wait to hear the next installment about Augustino. I hope you made a dive for the volleyball and "accidentally" fell on him. ;) By the way, I'm so proud of you for dancing your heart out! You know if I were there I would totally have cut that rug all up with ya. Maybe some karaoke is in your future! ;) I'm excited for you to be by yourself. You will have an awesome time and discover something new, I just know it.
